In My Library Cart

If I hadn't mentioned this before I get 90% of my books from the library. Seeing as I'm a college student, buying books doesn't come cheap to me. During the summer I had the leisure to go to my local library branches and check out books, but going back to school made it more difficult for me to do this. Luckily, my county offers an online eBook system where I have been able to read the majority of books this year.

I've never been a huge advocate of eBooks or been interested in the digital media of reading, having always preferred a physical book, but I have been converted! Not entirely, but it's extremely convenient to read eBooks when you can't get to a library/bookstore, when you're a college student low on money, or when you're on the move and constantly use your iPad or computer. I'm so thankful for this service, because if it wasn't for this I wouldn't have been to able to immerse myself in so many new wonderful stories and worlds.

With that being said, every now and then I want to update what's in my "library cart." These are books that I currently have checked out for the month and that I may or may not get around to reading. Besides these eBooks I sometimes read physical books that I own but haven't gotten around to reading. I find it interesting to know what people have "on hold" in their carts- whether it be for Amazon, Book Depository, or in my case the library!

This month, I have six books on loan:
  • I've been reading a couple pages here and there of Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card but I haven't fully gotten into it because I find that I keep relating it back to the film.
  •  I have yet to start Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson because I'm intimidated by its length and how my poor eyes are going to hate me after being glued to the computer reading it.
  • I have a feeling that Dare You To by Katie McGarry will be read quickly over the weekend.
  • Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding sounds like a well-loved classic that I'm surprised I haven't ever picked up before.
  • I've been waiting for City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare since I wrote my book review on City of Bones last month- yes, it took this long for me to be able to check it out.
  • And lastly, I cannot wait to delve into Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead (more Dimitri, yes please!)
And there you have it, what's in my library cart for this month. Let me know if you have any books on hold at your local library or what you're reading this month!
